We’re Home!

We’re settling in just fine to being home despite the fact that Bethany leaves for America on Tuesday. Poor her! We had our first “Friday Night Hangout” event at a student bar in the city last night. Three students came and we all played cards, drank beer and had a laugh. The schedule will be: On Monday night we have a “Leader meeting” where we join the other two YL Ministries and invite potential or current volunteer leaders. Training takes place as well as discussion about up-coming events for that week. Friday morning we have our weekly prayer meeting that is open to anyone interested in YLC and then the “Friday Night Hangout”
We’ll also have a presence every Sunday night at the church we’re partnering with as that is where most Christian students attend. During the week we’ll be around the University area in coffee shops and bars just being a presence there. And also meet with the students we already know.
So we’ve gotten a weekly schedule and places where students can see us and hang out with us. So much work has gone into creating this and after all of that work I lay in bed last night and knew that only God can take our efforts and turn them into something tangible. We take baby steps to proclaim Christ and God responds with giant steps and amplifies that proclamation! Praise God!
